In case you’re wondering, here’s the official 2020 U.S. Census Bureau figures for the racial makeup of the American people:

(Percentages don’t equal 100 because the whole idea of “race” is horrific, contemptable, and otherwise really deeply offensive on so many levels that it’s hard to express. The very concept of “race” is fundamentally divisive. Don’t be divisive. Reject “race.” Accept people as people. End of mini-rant.)

61.6% White alone
18.7% Hispanic or Latino
12.4% Black or African American alone
10.2% Two or More Races
9.4% White in combination with other racial group
8.4% Some Other Race alone
6.6% Some Other Race in combination with other racial group
6.0% Asian alone
1.8% Black or African American in combination with other racial group
1.8% American Indian and Alaska Native in combination with other racial group
1.2% Asian in combination with other racial group
0.9% American Indian and Alaska Native alone
0.3% Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander in combination with other racial group
